Spare ECU???

Post by VxROxV »

Hello, I have a 2000 M Roadster and I have another DME that I got from the junkyard off a 99 328i. The reason i got an extra DME, so that i can keep my original and use this extra one for flashing. My question is will i have to purchase another license since the program is registered with my original DME info???

also does anybody have an .dme2 file of a boosted s52 with 7200 rpm, Speed Limit delete, EWS Delete, Secondary Air Pump Delete, Post-Cat O2 Sensors delete, Muffler Flap Delete, No emissions check engine light and burble?

Thanks in advance

Regarding the vehicle license, ByteTuner will detect another DME as a different vehicle. If you've already licensed your original DME, then yes, you'd have to purchase another vehicle license for the backup DME.

The only tune we have close to your needs is this one: https://www.renovelo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=164 It has many things deleted (EWS, rear O2 sensors, SAP, EVAP, speed limiter) and a 7200RPM limit.
