Engine Swap Tunes

Description

Note: All engine swap tunes require ByteTuner to be able to flash your DME.

Do you need a tune for your M52, S52, or S54 engine swap project?  We’ve developed these engine swap tunes to cover the most common modifications and use-cases.  Other than the modifications stated below for each tune, they are otherwise stock.  If further modifications are needed, additional charges may apply.

MS41.1 M52B28 Swap Tune

• EWS delete
• SAP + EVAP delete
• Muffler flap delete
• Speed limiter delete
• Rev limiter: 7200RPM
• All necessary DTCs deleted

MS41.2 S52B32 Swap Tune

• EWS delete
• SAP + EVAP delete
• Muffler flap delete
• Speed limiter delete
• Rev limiter: 7200RPM
• All necessary DTCs deleted

MSS54HP S54B32 Swap Tune (E30)

• EWS delete
• Differential ratio: 3.73
• Chassis config: E36
• Clutch switch wired directly to DME
• Wheel speed encoder corrected
• Speedometer source changed to direct (E30 differential)
• All necessary DTCs deleted

Instructions

1. After purchase and payment verification, you will be able to immediately download the tune from our store.
2. Save the *.zip file to your computer and unzip the tune.
3. Open the tune in ByteTuner.  Flash it to your DME, but ensure you force a full flash.  This can be done by clicking the small button below the main “Upload” button.  You’ll see an option appear which says “Full binary”.

Notes

• We can guarantee these tunes will function as expected on a properly built vehicle.
• We do not offer guidance or support on the physical modifications necessary to swap an engine.
